Terms

  • 35 hr working week Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
  • 20 days plus stat, rising to 25 days, annual leave allowance

Key Responsibilities

  • File opening and closing, ensuring compliance with ISO & Lexcel standards.
  • Drafting pleadings and general correspondence
  • Compiling Briefs to counsel and bundles for Court.
  • Primary point of contact for incoming phone calls for the department, including triage and call backs.
  • Supporting continued development of CMS to enable paperless working.
  • Assisting with file progression of personal injury matters.
  • Liaising with third parties, such as counsel & expert witnesses.
  • Drafting bills in digital format.
  • Initial credit control procedure
  • Maintaining digital files to a high standard.
  • Maintaining a clear inbox.
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc tasks.
  • Occasional – Progression of dictation from Fee Earners within directed time frame.

Essential Skills

  • Effective communicator with high standard of client care.
  • Conscientious and able to take responsibility for own work
  • Ideally 3+ years experience in Litigation, for plaintiff or defendant.
  • Well organised and methodical with a good attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities whilst producing documents and communications to a high standard
  • Experience of working with a legal CMS and Microsoft Office
  • Positive can-do attitude
