As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact right across our society, the Community Foundation is launching an energy support fund as a way to support funders to pool resources and help people and charities most in need this winter.

Every household in Northern Ireland are scheduled to receive an energy payment of £600 to help with electricity and fuel costs and there are those who may find they don’t need this payment and who would like to donate to others who are more vulnerable.

Anyone wishing to use all, or part, of this payment to help families and communities in need will be able do so through a donation to the Energy Support Appeal.

The Community Foundation has set up an online donation page and will use funds raised to support applications they have already received for assistance with the cost-of-living crisis. The launch date is Monday 16th January.
