The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has today announced that should any charity trustees decide that they are temporarily closing their charity due to the current COVID-19 situation and the effect it is having on its charity, there is no requirement to issue a Serious Incident Report to the Commission. The Commission has, however, clarified this announcement by confirming that all charities should continue to issue Serious Incident Reports for all other matters where appropriate. The Commissions guidance on SIR’s is helpful and can be found here. If you require advice or assistance in making a SIR to the Commission Sarah Burrows and Jenny Ebbage are here to help. #Businessasusual
