Recent research by the TUC and EverydaySexism project has shown that 52% of the women interviewed have been sexually harassed at work at some stage of their career. This can include any form of unwanted sexual behaviour including touching, sexual innuendos and inappropriate behaviour. Often workers think its fine to have the odd risky joke but not so.

Unfortunately however four in five of the women said they did not have the courage to report the behaviour to their employers in case it affected their working relationships or that they would not be taken seriously.

If you think you have been the subject of sexual harassment and need advice on how to deal with such unwanted behaviour please contact Julie Leonard at Julie.leonard@edwardsandcompany.co.uk
