Bowel cancer is Northern Ireland’s second biggest cancer killer. Around 1,100 men and women are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in Northern Ireland, and 400 people die from the disease.

If diagnosed at the earliest stage, bowel cancer is highly treatable, with a survival rate of more than 93% over five years. However, poor awareness means that only 1 in 10 cases are detected at an early stage which often means it is too late to be treated. So what are you going to do about it? Northern Ireland can lead the way in driving towards reducing the number of people who die from bowel cancer and ensure that everyone affected has a positive experience of treatment and care but that requires money.

On Friday the 9th October Edwards and Co are challenging two other Companies, NOVOSCO and Modern Democracy to a static bike ride. The purpose while encouraging all the positive aspects of teambuilding etc. is really to raise money for this wonderful cause and ultimately save lives. The competition between the companies is crucial as we really do want to raise the most so this is a call out to the #Belfasthour community to help us. There are over 500 SME’s using #Belfasthour and if each one gave just £10 we will exceed our firm’s goal of £3,000.

Click on the link below and you will see that those donating to date are stating who it is for if you would say #Belfasthour that would be a great encouragement. Do it now https://www.justgiving.com/EdwardsandCoBiking4BowelCancer/
