Must employers provide menopause support?

A study released in October 2021 indicates that 54% of businesses “do not currently have any dedicated menopause support” for employees. From a legal perspective, there’s no specific support that you must provide but menopause is being cited more in discrimination cases.

Such support can include making reasonable adjustments for staff experiencing menopause, assisting access to counselling and health-related benefits. All businesses should now have a menopause policy which provides  guidance for employers on how to best support staff through the menopause.
