The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has recently reported in March 2021 on the independent survey carried out by nfpSynergy showing that public trust and confidence in charities is higher in Northern Ireland than in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. 

The research revealed that 71% of Northern Ireland respondents reported trusting charities – 12% higher than Great Britain and 14% higher than in the Republic of Ireland. It was also notable that there was a 13% increase in trust and confidence levels in Northern Ireland since 2018.
